Hi from Indianapolis

Hi Folks,
Have been reading the forum for a while and even made a couple of posts, so its about time I introduced myself.

I'm currently living a little bit southeast of Indianapolis, moved up here from South Florida last September. Had to curtail my riding until I got used to the sub zero temps. Started again in the spring and still getting used to these narrow country roads. Distracted drivers are my biggest fear.

I tend to go for vintage bikes, reminds me of days gone by, I am 68 years old.

My current daily rider is a 71 Peugeot UO-8, I ride about 12-20 miles a day, 5 days a week. I am looking for a 71-74 UO-8 in yellow, purchased one when I was discharged from the Army and would like another for old times sake.

Below are some of my other rides.

Charlie
1970 Schwinn Deluxe Twinn Sky Blue
1971 Peugeot U-O8 Green
1973 Schwinn Suburban Opaque Blue Mens
1973 Schwinn Suburban Opaque Blue Womans
1977 Fugi Monterey Blue
1983 Schwinn World Tourist (MFG by Giant)
1991 Trek MultiTrack 700

Good luck finding your yellow UO 8. I imagine the winters are a little different! Hopefully you get used to them quickly, try snow showing or xc skiiing - that's what keeps me going during the cold months.

Check out the C & V section if you haven't already.
