Tubeless tires
Can any mountain bike tire be set up as tubeless? I have two new tire that are not "tubeless ready" tires are Schwalbe Knobby Nic perfomance level.

Yes and no. Yes you generally can, but the beads will be prone to popping off and it will take much more sealant to get it to stop seeping.

I believe that tubeless ready tires have a compound that resists air loss. Tubed tires don't have that issue. Some day I'll get proper tubeless rims but am so far using tubeless ready tires (Schwalbe Almotion) on non-tubeless rims and have had mostly good success.
