A local buddy, Randy P., had a rando frame built by Alex in the last year too. By chance(?), his was also 100% stainless, and it's gorgeous!
He's put the bike to good use too, as he completed P-B-P this year!
Very nice to see good frame builders staying busy.

Hand built out of the Vanilla shop in Portland. Bike of my dreams and took years to convince the spousal unit to give permission. Flew there for my fitting, toured the shop, chose my options and once signed off on took about The for delivery. Pics below are from when I received the frame and then started building. Now they only offer complete builds no frame/fork only.
i have about a year and a half on this bike as my only ride (working on my old DeRosa now though). Most comfortable ride I’ve ever had. Mix of True Temper and Columbus tubing, seat tube is carbon via envy as is fork and seat post topper. Bar/stem combo is Pro Stealth.

wow, some really impressive hardware in this thread. I'll throw in these three, another DiNucci similar to Brent's that I got this summer and then a Richard Sachs from 1996. Both are extraordinary examples of the framebuilder's art, and yet they ride as different as night and day.
And then a Serotta Ottrott which hard to believe is almost 20 years old !
Paint on the DiNucci is House of Kolor custom berry/cabernet metallic with pearl overcoat sprayed by Marco, and the RS is by Joe Bell in RS signature red with pearl silver panels.

Clean it up, ride it around a bit, fall in love, then full meal deal, complete overhaul and detail.

So I thought this was here already, still not sure, and obrentharris asked for more pics so here we go.
This was a CL find, that PO said he raced it for awhile and that it had been Greg Meekers training bike at some point when he raced out of Micheals cyclery in Ames Iowa.
It was built in 1986 by Micheal Bornstein at Strawberry where he worked for awhile, he built it for himself.
Its small for me but with the PDX connection I will probably keep it for a long time.

I have probably posted this here before, but what the hey - I really like this photo I took of it today; 1979 Medici:
The ride is the icing on the cake. For a 4-hour+ ride, this wins hands down every time. One of the best bike purchases I've ever made.
