Here's today's bars pic, on a lightly used dirt trail on the back side of Chatsworth Park. Only saw a couple of walkers, no other bikes. Great day to ride.

Yea, it took nearly 3 hours to do 12 miles. Colorado’s mountains can be tough.

Riding into the nuclear waste land. Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge. It’s a bit controversial. The funny thing is that the picture in the Denver Post article is about 3 feet behind my picture. The controversy is that there was a fire and release of plutonium in the 50s that spread a cloud of plutonium particles over the area where that gate is. 20 feet behind that gate is a housing development where they scraped off yards and yards of dirt to build about 500 houses where people are digging around in yards to do gardening.

Yup. It's in an area of Denver that has been redeveloped and renamed the Denver River North Art District...RiNo for short. The city put rhinos of bikes for the bike lanes.

He’s technically “behind” my bars. He was helping me change grips. The green mandibles really jump out at you don’t they?

Mt. Princeton, one of the Collegiate Peaks from the Midland railroad.

The Three Tunnels on the Midland. There are actually 4 but the 4th one is about 1/2 mile down the road.

Mt. Shavino.
