Campy bottom bracket...
Not too familiar with the venerable Italian company, so I'm wondering what I've got here. Also, is there a secret trick is to removing it from the frame?
I assume a small pin spanner, which of course I don't have, but my fussing with an awl and an allen wrench yielded no results.

That's a one key release and all you need is an allen wrench. Loosen it in the normal direction and the crank will come off the spindle.
Edited to add: The part with the small holes is threaded into the crankarm and holds the bolt in place. There is no need to mess with it unless the bolt is broken.

Yes, a 7mm Allen key will remove the crank. The pins are for the retaining ring for the self-extractor system. No need to mess with them unless you need to replace the self-extractor. Unlike Shimano's similar "One Key Release" self-extractor system, Campagnolo's self-extractors were installed with a left-hand thread. That means if the self-extractor mechanism becomes damaged or missing, you will need a left-hand thread crank tool to remove the arm. Yes, they did make them, and yes, you will pay dearly for one if you damage the self-extractor mechanism. So, use the proper 7mm key.

2nd generation C Record crank. It will require a 111 mm BB spindle, if it needs to be replaced. I am the Virginia representative of the Campy Hoarders Association, so once the crank is removed, it should be sent to me for inspection, quarantine, and test fitting. Please note I have quite a backlog, because after all, I am a hoarder.

Note this one has the scratches that come from over shifting. Why I did not like this crank when it was introduced, the chain drops all the way to the pedal axle. Dismount to reset.

I had two of these crank sets. I hated the self-extractors. So, I bought the pin tool and the left-hand threaded crank puller. I removed the self-extractors and used this type crank bolt.

Got the crankset off...just had to add a cheater on the end of my 7mm allen key.
