Quality pun, csport .
I had business at Sony Music in the 90's, met Right Said Fred in a hallway. They were nice, and completely aware that their fifteen minutes were nearly up.
(it's still a near perfect pop song, and that vocal performance is far more nuanced than people credit)

Are we talking, Prime, rational or irrational numbers?

I'm very particular about any bike that I ride. Very particular, so much so that if the bike doesn't absolutely thrill me when I ride it, then I sell it. At my age and with my experience, my tastes are um... more discerning. But it's all about the ride experience, not the appearances.
As for what someone else rides or chooses, I could care less. I fix a ton of lesser bikes for their happy owners. They're happy, I'm happy.
Whether the OP only rides recumbent bikes, well, I'll simply chalk that up to age and infirmity. I'm still rocking diamond frames...until the day comes when I cannot any longer. We'll burn that bridge when we get there.

Now I get it - A bent is a recumbent and the OP is one of those! OK this makes a little more sense now

^ in a sense, it does. "Those" type of riders prefer a more, um, flaccid body posture.

I ride a mountain bike or a hybrid with platform pedals, sometimes wear mtb shorts, sometimes lycra but rarely a real jersey top, I wear a helmet, fingerless gloves unless riding in the mid 30F's. I don't really know where I am on this scale but actually I don't give a ****. I just enjoy riding my bike.

What does "Fred" mean anymore in the cycling context? It used to mean a sort of poseur. Now it means... what? A guy who happens to enjoy riding a bike, sans pretensions? A troll? A guy who wears black socks? The guy on the club ride riding a $7k bike and suitable kit who's strong enough to drop everyone on short climbs but has such terrible bike handling skills that he's a menace in a paceline? I dunno.
