Portola State LKHC
Today was the Low Key Hill Climb for Portola State Park. You might ask, where? We, you know when you climb West Alpine, and you normally make a left at the stop sign? Instead, hang a right, and go down ... way down ... all the way down until you see the Portola State Park sign.
We all registered at Montebello Open Space, then rode down to the start, a little over 5 miles down the hill. It takes a while to get all the way down, and because of that, we didn't really start climbing till around 10:30 am. While we were waiting, we were blocking the sign, and people couldn't tell if they were at the right place to enter the park. Oops.
At first, there were only a handful of us at the start, then suddenly, at around 10:30 am, we saw a big swarm of riders ...
We had pretty good representation. Six proud BF'ers were representing well ... let's keep it going. Let's get more BF'ers out on these rides!

That's why I saw a bunch of familiar faces descending Page Mill this morning. Marlowe and I were headed the other direction (in the car).
