I wanna see the receipts
nlerner ’s reply in the Small Snapshot of 1983 thread made me think I’m not the only one who hangs on to original receipts. Here are two of mine. Let’s see what you’ve got.

These came with a '60 or '61 Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix that I bought a few years back. When I sold it off, I included the documentation:

I swapped the saddle before I took the picture. Other than that, it's all original, even the bar tape. Previous owner swapped the tires, but included the originals. I picked it up this summer listed as "schwinn bike"

My 84 Gran Prix bought in early 85. Still own the bike. My first "real" bike.

I found this at my parents and believe it to be my Dad's. 1940 printing date fits as he was born in 1928.

Deal4Fuji Even as late as 1982 the city registration only considered bikes to be for children - Boys vs Girls......
Anyone notice how similar those 80's shop receipts are? Looks like one company had a lot of the LBS market.

This 1948 P.T. Stallard Montlhery is a project that is still in the queue. I was able to get some of the original build documents though, including:

These receipts are almost as interesting as the bikes. Well, they do tell a story. The notations, the handwriting
, the prices, the way the receipt looks. Good Idea, ManekiNico .
Here is my contribution:
The frame and bottom bracket
And some of the parts needed to complete the bike.
