Just realized I do have a green C&V bike, in fact a very special and rare, now thought to be mid-fifties Royal Nord President. After cleaning, I took some shots before I dismantled it for reconditioning. It's a Belgian 3speed roadster style bike with 28" x1 1/2" wheels. All the pinstriping and spear lines are hand painted. In a few weeks it should be ready to roll once again. It does have its own thread here https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...ca-1967-a.html

Well it's not quite midnight in the next time zone, so....

Not my nicest green bike, not by a longshot. But, it's my current daily driver, and may be a clunker entry. Mystery year Trek 730, found in the prairie planting off the bike path. Posted a CL "Found" ad, but no one replied.

Not abused, but very neglected. Nothing really missing. Needs a LOT of paintwork. Except for the yawn-inducing grip-shifters, it's a blast to ride now that it's tuned up. So far I have $5.00 in the rack, $3.00 in the saddle, $1.00 in each of the lights, $5.00 in the pedals/clips, $1.00 in the seat bag, so a shade under $20. Knock wood, the tires will last the required 100 km.

Here she is in a little more interesting habitat, but with a pocket P&S camera and cr@ppy lighting; I ended up putting her on the bus on account of the rain.

Here's the mystery. US-made lugged TT-OX frame. I think the bike is "ice green", but the last lugged ones must've been '91 or '92 (any idea, @JohnDThompson ?), and they didn't come in ice green until '95. I've seen other ice green 730s, but they're TIG welded. The cool thing is, they spec'ed this bike to have some road-ish manners - nearly straight flat handlebar with a System 1 90-degree stem.

I bought some primer and some paint to touch up my 1971 Super Course. I sanded off the rusty top tube. But now I'm having second thoughts. The original paint is two-layered, and touch-up paint could look lousy. I am considering an alternate plan which I don't want to divulge. I still haven't decided.

I rebuilt the bike in the fall. It got a new 2x8 drivetrain. I had to spread the rear triangle and align it and align the rear derailleur hanger. The new front wheel has a dynamo hub. In the process, I switched from 27" wheels to 700c wheels. The Vittoria Voyager Hyper tires are 37mm wide, so the ride is wonderful. I have Cambium tape on the handlebars which I also love.

Unfortunately, the bike is getting even uglier. I put on a tall stem which looks like it's not inserted deep enough though it is. And I rotated the bars back which adds immensely to comfort but looks dorky. Oh well, it's my bike.

This is my 1974 Raleigh International which I brush-painted by hand several years ago. It now has a Brooks Cambium saddle which is practical for commuting and nearly as comfy as a leather saddle.

It has had the dynamo front hub for years but I haven't re-installed the lights since the last overhaul.

Bought this Mondia Spl from Europe that was on eBay just to get the head tube badge for another Mondia I have. Gray paint was thrashed. I had some welding done by Ed Litton. I stripped & primed it for paint & a local body shop painted it for me. Suburu Metallic Green
Fork was a liitle short & I happened to see another taller Mondia for sale that had a nicer fork with longer steerer tube. Ended up buying the fork, badge & Campy NR headset...after he cut the front end off the frame

Time for an updated shot of the 1956 Royal Nord President, now wearing an apple green Brooks B17.

Pedestrian compared to most of the bikes in this thread, but it's green and you don't see many of this vintage anymore.

One finished bike, one project

I have a 1992 Trek 950 and a 70s Mercier 300. I'd like to rebuild the Mercier 300 this year so the pic of the bike is as found in the "wild."

Here's my Motobecane Grand Record that I just (mostly) finished last night. Not sure that I love the SOMA Faux Leather bar tape, and this saddle is pretty beat up, will probably replace with a B17.

beautiful bike. Is that a repaint? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a green Moto GR

Yes, repainted by the Color Factory, here in NJ. It was originally the silver with black head tube and bands on the seat tube, but the previous owner (my father in law) lived near the ocean and there was a ton of surface rust. I went my own direction on color, but tried to make it look like a Motobecane still. (Lugs outlined by me with a gold Sharpie paint pen!)
