First 22 days
Well I've made it 22 days since I picked the bike back up and decided it was time to change. When I started 22 days ago I made it .88 miles and thought I needed to go to the hospital, but as you have all said it gets easier and I am happy to report it is, yesterday I rode 8.33 miles running an 11mph average (that's good for me) and I am down 19lbs and the best part about it was that after it was over I wasn't wiped out for the rest of the day, I actually felt really good.
Only bad note is that I had to take the Escape to the LBS as I was starting to have a noise in my lower bracket, but the bright spot there is that it takes away all of the excuses to not ride my new DEFY and get out there on it.
Total miles 50.9
Weight lost 19.6 (started at 435 now 415.4)

Well, if someone says, "Lighten up, Francis."
He can say that he already has, and he's planning on more.

Along with the biking I completely changed my eating habits and started using myfitnesspal religiously, it is more about portion size than anything else (and staying away from fast food) I still eat what I like but in moderation and I definitely and more aware of what I put in, I like to stay with natural food and organic products, very little processed food and a lot of water (cant stress that enough it really does hold off the cravings) and for snacks I eat yogurt and bananas.

Hi Francis, It took you 22 days, it took me 3 years. The fact you put your foot to the pedal is always an inspiration for me. kudos!

it does get easier, just remember listen to your body if it tells you to take a break then take a day off and then get back after it, I really find that after a day off the bike I fell much stronger and able to push more the next time, oh yea HYDRATE.

Fantastic! I hope your addicted like a lot of us are. I am only able to ride 2-3 maybe 4 times a week if I can make it happen, I feel like I am missing something if I don't ride that day. Keep it up!

Right now it's super hard for me to skip a day. I've only skipped one day so far. Today I should probably take off. But I'm like I can just go a little ways down the road.
