Holdsworth Record - 1971-72 -???
A friend helped me find and trade for this lovely, very original and complete Holdsworth of early seventies vintage. It is a model Record and, aside from swapped out wheels, in original condition, right down to the Weinmann stainless steel fenders and Record transmission and Bluemels pump - all original issue from Holdsworth. Note also the nine Campagnolo decals, again factory installed...
Of course, the bike is too big for me...

Are you sure early '70's ?
The bike is called the Record because it was fitted with Record components. The lesser bike, the Equipe, was fitted with Valentino and the Mistral, the next one above the Record, sported Nouvo Record. As nearly as I understand it, anyway.
The art is what appeals to me, suggesting typical English vintage. The bike is in great shape and, when you compare its "as found" condition, very complete according to the advertisement. I am looking forward to getting it ready for its test ride.

Nice find Randy, and in great condition. I remember those when they were new - and of course it's little brother the Equipe that had a similar frame but painted in the Team colours of pumpkin orange and kingfisher blue. This one looks great!

Very interesting, that they would use an "old" derailleur when the Nuovo Record was out, and, the old logo Campagnolo decals.
