Bought myself a new bike, a Canyon Endurace AL 7.0 in blue. It's last years model, has the Shimano 5800 groupset. Weighs in at 20.1 lbs with the included pedals installed, the pedals have a polymer cage on them. Took for a spin after getting putting it together and setting the seat height based on a Canyon chart. I ended up just measuring the distance between the pedals and seat on my old bike to get the seat height set on the new bike. I'll dial it in when the weather warms up and I can get some serious riding in. I love my old bike, a 1978 Motobecane Super Mirage in Champagne Gold, but she is a steel tank - great on downhills, not so great going uphill.

The Endurace should work well for my style of riding just need to kit her out with decent pedals, lights, computer, and saddle that fits my backside. The supplied saddle is too narrow and too hard for me. Any questions?

Canyons seem to make very aesthetically pleasing bikes, IMO. Very nice.

Nice bike. I normally don't like blue but it looks good on that bike. Very simple design. I like it.

What size tires and how much clearance for larger tires.??

Shimano components.?? If so, what groupset.??

For tire clearance, I would say 700x32 easily. 700x35 would be tight, but should fit. I have the Canyon Ultimate (racier version of the Endurace) and currently have 700x30 tires on it for the winter. I still have about 5mm of clearance on each side.

I seem to recall reading in the owners manual that up to 32 mm tires could be mounted. It came with 28mm tires.

Shimano 5800 groupset. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked the blue color too. I was leaning towards the Stealth, but I'll take the blue and the $200 it saved me.

Welcome to the Canyon family! I purchased a couple of their RoadLites last month and have been very impressed with both the bikes and Canyon USA's support. I think Canyon has the best pice/value in the industry right now. Enjoy your new ride for many miles to come.

I like that Canyon makes a true XXL for taller riders. The blue certainly was the way to go.

Medium. I did all the measurements per the Canyon website and it said I needed a medium. Honestly I think I could ride a medium or a large and be happy with either.

Yeah, I have a different saddle inbound, a 148mm Bontrager Arvada. My plan is to mimic the set-up of my other bike, get the saddle positioned as close as possible to what I'm used to.
