"European Model" Peugeot
For sale on Buffalo CL. Not my bike/not my size. It's been available, on and off, for at least a good few months. If I had time might have offered $60-70 for it as parts bike but don't need it. Only posted some of the photos

Vintage European model Peugeot Touring bicycle.Over 40 plus yrs. old.Serial No. 221088.
"Record Du Monde" and "Tube Special Allege Peugeot" on frame rails
Adga leather seat. Soubitez 10/3w generator operates front fender light and rear taillight.Taillight has missing lens.
Original plastic water bottle/rough decal. Full aluminum fenders.
Altenburger Syncron brakes. 10-speed? Simplex gear system. Atax steering stem. Rear luggage rack. Small tool bag with tire tools,patch,and wrenches. Verma Riviera foot straps.
Original frame mount tire pump/inoperable.
All original.Purchased by one original owner and ridden in Europe between France and Germany. Made in France of course.
Posted incase anyone looking for such a beast and wondering what it is? Since every Peugeot I see has "Record Du Monde" stickers I have no idea what it is

I like the UE 8 a lot. It is a very sensible bike with fenders, a good rack, and a lighting system. I had no problem paying $100 for this one. I think that's high for a UO 8 but not terrible for the UE 8 given the fenders and rack. I plan on modding it with alloy wheels and a cotterless crank. I had one of these a while ago that got ripped off. I find that these make first rate commuters or townie bikes. The PO installed the flat bars and I may keep them (after installing the proper stem):
