Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Remember the DMSO craze many years ago? I had an uncle who swore by it for his arthritis. Of course, before that, he rubbed WD40 into his joints.

Clearly, the Captain has to mount first and dismount last, or the stoker will go ass over teakettle.

Also, I was assigned a couple construction jobs in the 70s that were 100% metric with metric plans and all metric measuring devices. It was a total disaster trying to get grizzled old bridge carpenters to use metric tapes and rulers.

That’s what I tell friends who buy Corvettes. I tell them I’ll buy my first Corvette when I turn 70.

When GM started the switch from SAE to metric, only the engine and related brackets were metric and the rest of the car was inch. This also meant we had to buy metric sockets and wrenches.

I never drove a C8, retired before they came out. I've driven about all the other ones except 55-62, (my boss had a 54). I drove the supercharged C7 and it's too much. 650 horsepower is asking for trouble. The supercharged C8 is supposed to have more.

Instead of riding for the 7th day in a row, I cut the back lawn and finished in the dark.

I don't want the supercharger; just the hi-po all-natural. With three pedals.
