SE Mich, Waterloo & Watermoo

Just signed up for the Waterloo G&G event next month (hoping that dopey ground hog was right)..

But then I see Tinker Juarez is riding the August race, The Watermoo..

On one hand, I'd like to see Tinker and have him autograph my black Raven, but on the other hand.. I'm not sure this fat old man belongs riding 88 miles of gravel in 95 degree heat.. I think I'd rather get muddy and hypothermic..

Anything but rain. I hate riding in the rain.

In Michigan, when the groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter, that means an early spring. Otherwise it's 8 or 10 weeks.

Saw something recently about NOAA evaluating the rodents accuracy over time. No better than 40%.

Not familiar with Watermoo but Waterloo G&G is a nice event. Most years there is snow and ice on the course and if its warm it can be muddy. I would hope for cold so it stays firm.

Yup, around here in March, cold is great (fast and hard), warm is muddy & sucky.

Waterloo was postponed due to the current public health issue in the news.
Rescheduled for July 19

Barry-Roubaix also postponed, rescheduled to Oct 3
Will be run in conjunction with the Fall Fondo
