Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Filthy rich owner of Marion-Bermuda boat has bought fast new sails and fixed a bunch of stuff. Here's the boat cruising in Maine, recently. Sure hope the pandemic has cooled off by June, but I'm not wildly optimistic.

Crabon, baby!

They're light and hold a precise shape that's essentially molded into them.

We’re in the middle of a sales cycle, which means tons of early AM meetings with the other execs to lay out analytics needs. I elected to start work at 6 this AM so I can sneak out around 10

Amusing sight this morning. As I was leaving my blood test I saw someone had lost their long braid of a weave in the building’s vestibule.

Woke up early, decided I wanted breakfast. Went to the hotel lobby where the classic continental set up was. Grabbed some cereal, yogurt, toast and hard boiled egg. Finish eating and walk by the front desk on my way to my room only to be told it’s 10.00 dollars, how would I like to pay. Not anywhere did it say it was not free. #hotel life.

For that money I'd expect a little smoked salmon.

In 2017 and 2018 I lived in NY but all of my staff was in Boston, so I had about 185 nights each year at Marriott properties.

My wife had been traveling for work and was platinum for about 9 years prior to that- we've been sharing the same rewards number for years without issue for a while.

We were able to burn a bunch of our points over the past couple of years, was planning on burning some more this year. She's semi-retired now and I don't travel, so it's unlikely we'll get more.

"Well, this might have been a dumb idea," seems to be the most common thought that runs through my head during the first interval of any given trainer session.

So fancy sails are completely rigid? I did not learn this in school.
