Mid-70's Bottecchia Special, value?
I picked this one up last week, and wondering what the value is for F & F, headset, seatpost, and cable hangers. No rifling in steerer, uses claw-mount RD, but fairly lightweight, about 6.5 lbs F&F with HS, and cable hangers. Looks like an excellent candidate for all-Simplex bits, and I'm guessing on Italian BB, so it might make a good rider, a step above a UO-8, etc due to the Italian marque.

It is exactly the Carnielli model parallel to the U08.
Eleven tube seamed high-tensile.
May be slightly earlier than you suggest.

Looks like an early seventies Bottecchia Special, a nice enough bike to ride and a joy to view, in my opinion. A few have come my way, over the years and I would not hesitate to grab another one, for the right price...
