Cateye EL410 battery drain

Hi,
I have a couple of Cateye EL410. I have used them randomly for the last three years or so. One of them battery started to be drained quite fast, even within a term in which I used them daily. The other one seemed to work ok.

Nevertheless, in the last months in which I didn't use them, both of them got drained even being turned off all the time. It was not so strange in one of them, but now it happens in both.

I use Duracell regular batteries, not rechargeable from China.

Thanks.

I had an EL410 which I used for a year or so. I used it with rechargeable batteries and generally charged them every day or two. As I recall, battery life was fairly predictable and corresponded to actual use.

Hi, Andy,

Thanks for your answer.

What bothers me is the light behavior when turned off. I install new (non rechargeable) batteries, let it turned off and the battery drains quite fast, not meaning that it happens in one year and a half, but a few months.

Regards.
