My taillight assembly

My brackets for my planet bike superflashes arrived yesterday. I was finally able to complete my taillight assembly for my rear rack. I still need to cut a piece off the plastic brackets to let the lights sit level, but this will make it easy to have one on constant and one on blink. Since it is on the rack, anything I set on top of the rack won't interfere as if it was on the seatpost. I hope this keeps me seen!

I made the main bracket out of a strip of 1.5" x 1/8" aluminum.

That looks nice, but I'm not clear what you did. Did you buy a couple of T brackets from BB and mount them to the rack with the aluminum piece?

I like that. I use panniers and have one PB Superflash on my seat post but was thinking of adding one to the rack. Problem is I had to set the panniers back a little over an inch to cure heal strike (size 13 feet tend to get in the way). The aluminum strip looks like a great way to get it far enough back to clear the panniers. Thanks for sharing.

Hopefully this clears it up. I made the aluminum bracket in order to hold two tail lights instead of one.

Thanks, that last picture makes it clear.

I like your idea to have one blinking and one steady. At the very least, you'll have a backup.
