my single speed 29er

Those aren't whitewalls, they're just reflective strips on the sidewalls
-Redline MonoCog 29er (single speed)
-WTB Speed V Pro Gel seat

2 sets of wheels
-Alex rims/Redline hubs with 29x2.3 WTB Exiwolfs (off road), 32/18 gearing - stock wheelset (stock gearing was 32/20)
-Mavic rims/Rockworks hubs with 29x2.35 Schwalbe Big Apples (fat slicks, kevlar reinforced), 32/14 gearing

The future for this bike holds in store a Rock Shox Reba and a hydraulic front disc.
I just finished putting together the street wheelset and this thing rocks. I've never been happier with a bike. I'm going to start commuting on it soon. The Schwalbe Big Apples are the best thing to happen to the bike. It only takes about 5 minutes to change out the wheels to go to the MTB trails right north of here on weekends.
Now I just don't have much use at all for my 26" Trek...

and here's my intro thread

Enjoy the 29er...

Got my first fully rigid 29er a few months back...haven't ridden the full squishy heavy a*@ beast since...

I thought I would miss the suspension but don't at all...

I really like my MC29er. I have it and a GF XCal and ride the MC the most. There's just something about riding SS that you don't get on a geary.

That's a good looking ride. I dig the the Big Apples. I've thought about trying out some cyclocross tires on mine.

Nice bike, madcap. Nice-looking floor it's on too - - vertical-grain fir?

The bigger tires are definitely a plus, but this being my first 29er, that's definitely a plus too. Here in Louisiana it's pretty flat, even on the local trails. There's small hills and lots of trees so roots are all over in some places. I don't really mind them on the 29er, but have had problems piloting through them on smaller bikes with smaller tires.

nice bikes

The Big Apples are great. They're so plush bumps are all soaked up. I've got the pressure kinda low at 40psi just for that. They've got incredible grip on the street and just beg for you to turn fast and hard. They've got a website for bikes based on the Big Apple, balloonbikes.com

I'm not sure, actually. I live in a house built way before I was, in 1910. I rent here for the time being, the house was in the landlord's family since it was built. The floors are quite nice in some rooms and the wood is a rare size as well, but for the most part, the house needs a lot of work.

I have extremely similar floors. My house is circa 1908. It is cool how in the basement, you can see the nails sticking through!

both. I'm into computers, bicycles, music, Pro Audio, and cars.

I do shows at local bars and also rent out my PA system for extra money.

I've got a total of 2 monitors, 4 tops and 5 subs, all 18", over 5,000w of possible power behind that bike
