Facial hair and helmet straps..... does your helmet straps irritate your facial hair?
I'm sure somebody had talked about this before so spare me the did you search this before posting stuff. Anyways, I used to have Bell Alchera helmet that was comfy and didn't pull my facial hair. I crashed and replaced it with a Specialized helmet. The new helmet is a better fit, much more comfy, and most importantly matches my bike. The only problem is that the straps tug at my facial hair. This is crazy annoying. Now aside from the obvious, "Shave before you ride", comments are there any other solutions to this? Let me know what you all think.

Full beard.
I wear LAZ helmets mostly, but I have an oversized Bell for layering up in, straps of neither tug on beard.

I wonder if its because I never let my facial hair get longer than a 1/4 inch in length. Though I guess that still wouldn't explain why my old Bell helmet didn't bug, since my grooming habits haven't changed.

I have a tsg evolution helmet. https://www.amazon.com/TSG-Evolution-.../dp/B007EJ8JPS I have very thick facial hair and my helmet straps pulls on mine and it REALLY pisses me off.

My beard is about 4" long, and Bell helmets never cause a problem for me.

my beard is about as long as it ever gets right now, but that's only about 1/4 to 1/2 in. long. usually it's really short, so no, I've never had any issues with my helmet straps (Giro)
