It’s a 2016 frame, built in 2017. I know it has been raced two seasons, has new tires. Bluebook is like $750 or so, wondering if the custom build improves on that sufficiently for asking price. Thank y’all!

BB is often used to lowball sellers. I personally see 20% above BB a better real price. If you can get a bike for BB, you've got a good deal.
As of the bike, I think 900 is a very fair price. I have the same fork and it was $450 new.
Which model SRAM is it running?
While BB7 brakes are very reliable, they lack the modulation and power of new hydros. I still have BB7 on two bikes but they are more of my beaters. Easy upgrade, but it still seems fair at 900.
Offer 800 and meet at 850 if he/she wants to nego, good luck and tell us how you made out.

SRAM X9 fwiw.....would it be ridiculous to buy it at full price ($900) and if needed, add a fork for around $350 or so later? I just don't see any $1200 bikes that seem on par but am happy to be corrected!

IMO 900 is a fair price for a bike which looks to be in good shape with solid parts and frame
X9, so it's 10 spd but still a solid drivetrain. Does the bike have a good fit?

wow, change in direction, but Congrats a great bike
Lots of guys I ride with have either the V2 or V3. The V4 is planned for later this year (SC refreshes each surviving model every 3 years, the Hightower is also up for changes). Guess they will follow trends of slacker, more travel and wider tires.
I think the V3 is almost a perfect bike. Which build did you go with?

Lowest priced version....D I think? Ride twice this past weekend and really enjoyed it besides the wipeout I took 5 minutes into my first ride! Did much better the second day and while I’ve a long way to go feeling comfortable on the trails, I think I can get there.
