Hey guys, loving these posts. If anyone bumps into a white Miele Azsora similar to some of the above, 48-50cm ish, 1985-6 era or so, let me know! It was my first road bike and first bike I ever raced on. 30 years and many bikes later, I want it back!

Here's my "neo-retro" Miele Latina Road Issue (I removed the decals from the top and down tubes because they were damaged, and I didn't like how the bike said "Miele" 10 times on the frame). Columbus SL, with a 10 speed 105 groupset taken off a Scott CR1. The crankset is a Kuota KO3 carbon crankset (GXP, from what I've read its a rebranded as SRAM Force).
I look to eventually switch to a carbon fork. The fork on it right now is not the original Miele Columbus fork, and it's a bit on the heavy side. Any suggestions for a carbon 1" threadless fork for not a lot of money?
Chain, bar tape, and cables going on by the end of the week. Can't wait to get it running.

Miele beta...48 gold metalic....was full 600 6speed friction...

I guess im in the Miele club. Just picked this up today. It needs a lot of help but im up for the task.
1988? Shimano tricolor. cinelli bars and stem. I dont know whats original to the bike if anything at all.
Like to do an early 80s tribute build. I think ill leave it original paint with all its battle scars

By process of elimination, it should be a 1989 model. The 1987 version was called the Gara Triathlon and had chrome stay ends and embossed stay caps. The 1988 version was the Gara 88 and was labelled as such, using a different font. It also wasn't offered in white. The 1990 version used totally different decals and had internal cable routing for the rear brake.
Regardless, it has been frankenbiked to an extent. The saddle is obviously not OEM and the rims are mismatched, neither of them being from Miele's standard source during this era.

Yes, an Ambrosio Elite Durex rim would be OEM. At least they were in 1987, 1988 & 1990, so I'm assuming they were used in 1989 too.

Managed to find a Miele in Australia, having trouble getting a positive ID on the frame. They seem to be nice bikes though; I love mine!

I just picked up a Miele mountain bike here in Austin Texas. The name of the model is mostly scratched off, but think I can see "Aries_?00". It has a strange back brake under the bike, it's lugged plain gauge steel. Sorry these pics are strange, I'm not near the bike right now. Other things to note, there is a zoom stem with a negative rise, bull bars and a junk v-brake on the front. I think the back brakes & rear d are original, but I don't know about the cranks, front ring, fork, etc. The fork is black with rack attachments. I really want to see markk900's picture (he's posted it in this thread and one other) but the links are broken and this is my first post so I can't just message him about it.

@Tmar would also be a good help if you provide some drive side pics. Your does look like my Aries 500 (same colour and looks like same group set). The overall group should be labelled Exage Trail.

Right on guys! Thanks! It's hard to find any info on these bikes, it took me a while to even locate that there was a model called the Aries. Mine feels like an 18-19" and yeah, it was hipstered at some point in the past so the front D is gone, chainrings are swapped, post, stem are swapped out and I haven't looked at the hubs, bb, hs to see if they've been swapped. I do like the bolt on wheels, makes it a good candidate for a bar hopper (I'm about a leisurely 50min ride from some killer breweries in East Austin). It is my 21st bike, however, and my wife is getting annoyed.
My 8yr old daughter actually picked out this bike. We'd visited a bike project here where they teach community members (including kids) to wrench on bikes; basically, you pick out a bike that was donated and then over the course of several visits complete a checklist to fix most things you'd ever need to fix on a bike. When they're done, they get to keep the bike (check out austin yellow bike project (austinyellowbike.org/programs/earn-a-bike)). Turns out, however, the classes are during the week day or at hours where my 8yr old can't attend. So, we went on Craigslist and looked for something worth rebuilding. I told her she'd want a nice bike and we saw this Miele and checked out the story behind the builder. She really liked it so we picked it up for $50. Hopefully rebuilding this bike will cement a love of a lugged steel frames in the kid.
I have a full bike shop's worth of tools, been wrenching since the 90's, and she's going to use my race stand to take the whole bike down to the frame and build it back up. She's excited, once we get it built back up I'll update those atrocious pictures with some worthy of a show-off thread

Found mine on CL in Chattanooga TN. Rescued it from FixieHell but luckily it had escaped the hacksaw. I planned on a solid powder coat until I saw it in person and noticed the Hand Painted SIKKENS Original Acrylic Urethane System decal. I’ve never seen anybody that proud of their paint to use a decal call out for it. Has some scars and scrapes, but no way could I afford a more dazzling finish. It’s basically blue pearl over deep turquoise. Previous owner had narrow drop bars, a kludged alloy crank, mismatched wheels, orange bar tape, rusty track fork, I just caught it in time basically. It’s a Tivoli. If anybody can target a year I’d love to know. For as amazing as the remaining paint is the original decals look like they were applied by a hungover dude on a Monday morning. What had fractured away over the years was filled in with OneShot pinstriping enamels. Replacement decals were never found. Some like the M on the fork I manufactured. Finally found a decent pair of vintage CXP30s and built the new wheels on new Ultegra hubs. Drivetrain is Ultegra/105 3x9. Bars are 3T. Fork is aftermarket carbon. Tubes are Columbus CROMOR. It rides and handles amazingly.

Interesting, the serial number would seem to point to a 1987 model manufactured in very late 1986 but the colour scheme, Exage Trail rear derailleur and Aries x00 decal all point towards a 1988 Miele Aries 500S,, which was 5th from the top of a six model ATB line.

The Tivoli was a road/sport model from the very early 1990s. They were typically outfitted with Shimano 400EX and had an MSRP of ~$500 US. The frame was typically Columbus Cromor with hi-tensile stays and a generic CrMo fork. Due to the extensive rebuild it's impossible to provide an exact year without the serial number or a date code from an OEM component.
