2 cross DS and radial NDS rear wheel lacing?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2 cross DS and radial NDS rear wheel lacing?

I would like to lace a rear wheel that is 2 cross on the drive side and radial on the non drive side. How do I proceed? I was thinking of lacing the drive side and then radially lace the NDS. Is this the correct way?
Thanks!

What components are you using, and why not 2x on both sides?

I started building wheels half a year ago and I want to learn new patterns. I have a prime hub and a DT Swiss R520 and I have no use for myself with them so I would like to build a wheel and sell it.

I've been told by more than a few wheel builders that anything less than double cross on both sides is not recommended. "But I'm no doctor". Maybe Psimet, or one of the other wheel builders who visit this site can weigh in...

How about Campagnolo G3 wheels? I used to ride a Khamsin, later changed to a Vento and had no problems with those 2.

There isn’t much issue with a NDS radial.
The lower tension gives it an excellent chance of survival even If it isn’t a radial-specific hub. There’s less risk of leading spokes detensioning from pedaling torque.

This is a good document about a test done with different lacing patterns.
