Third Summer Tour route revision.

Previously I had asked for advice re: the Rockies.

Work has intervened, seriously impacting my summer (I'm a teacher). Can't roll out until last week of June, two weeks travel time lost, gotta fly home mid-August

Now I'm looking at a more direct route to Yellowstone....

San Antonio to Palo Duro Canyon outside of Lubbock.

Palo Duro Canyon to Old Bent's Fort at La Junta CO.

Old Bent's Fort to Sand Creek Massacre Site.

San Creek to Ft. Laramie WY.

Ft. Laramie - Yellowstone - Great Falls MT (end point).

Thoughts?

For my taste it looks like a hell of a lot of flat & possibly windy prairie riding. Maybe this TX and CO-frontrange riding is more interesting that I know?
