do old ACT speed/odometers turn off?

is on a used bike i bought. there's no model number on it. is a two button. i found a website telling me how to calibrate it. works and is accurate (used phone gps to confirm). but i can't find a user manual for it. it's always on with the timer ticking. that right or is there some button sequence to turn it off? holding one or both of the buttons for any amount of time does not turn it off.

thanks

oh, i see there's a subform for accessories but i don't see a delete option with edit post.
