Cavalier/Cabalier Identification

Anyone ever heard of this brand? I came across an old three speed today, here is the head badge from it:

To me, that looks like "Cabalier," although "Cavalier" would make more sense. It has a 1965 Sturmey Archer hub on it, and the rear fender eyelets are behind the dropouts, rather than above it. According to Sheldon, the latter indicates that it may have been made by Raleigh, although I couldn't find "Raleigh," "Nottingham" or the like written anywhere on it.

If anyone has any information, I'd love to know more about this bike. I can take more pictures of specific parts of the bike if it would help. Thanks.

The guy at the bike shop said he thinks this was a brand gobbled up by Raleigh. Just thought I would post it here in case anyone searches for this later.

I think the "b" is actually a v, but in the old english style of lettering, it looks like our b.

Hey! I just came out of my parents garage and found this red Cavalier bike! I think my dad bought it in the 1960s, but has anyone found out more information on it? It's a cool bike (I'll try to get pics up later) with that wild hub I'd never seen before. Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out for one more Cavalier!
