Hope this is in the right place...

Hello everyone; I'm new here and am hoping to be new to triathlon. I've been running 10Ks, half's, 10 milers, etc. Doing my first full marathon in about two months. Decided I'm increasingly attracted to triathlons and want to try that. Thing is I know nothing about bikes. I've done some research and I found one locally I'm thinking about but I'm wondering how the price is. This is what the guy has:

Raleigh Cadent One-Zero

Frame size: Large 56cm. 56cm top tube, 60cm down tube

Brand new Vittoria Zaffiro tires

Specialized Sonoma Saddle

Wellgo LU-982 Pedals w/ clips

Shimano tekTRO Breaking System

Shimano Tiagra Shifters

Airstryke Handlebar Extensions and Aerobars

He was originally asking $700 but after a little back and forth, he's down to $500. $500 is the budget that I've allowed myself for a bike (I'm new to this so I can't justify $1000+ for some of the bikes I've seen).

Is anyone familiar with this bike/setup? Do you think $500 is a good deal for this? I really appreciate anyone's help/input on this. As I said; I'm new to this and pretty ignorant when it comes to bikes.

Thanks in advance.

Check the year, I seem to remember them recalling the fork on the 1.0 bike. I think the price is a little high for that bike. I may be thinking of another model, but I think the 1.0 sold for around 640.00 new.

I would not be looking for a "deal" when I was not familiar with bikes at all.
A decent local bike shop is where to go, while one pays a premium for a new bike, generally a after sale tune up is free, they will probably fit the bike to you (this is where I would shop around, for a well versed shop that sells to triathletes.)

You need more than a bike, you need some guidance, like pedals and shoes and togs.
