Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I couldn't find anything in the archives.. please include if you're left or right-handed and why you chose to install where you do.

Mine's on the dashboard, above and forward of the handlebars. But when I don't have a dashboard it's been in either place at random, most recently in the middle on the stem itself.

Im right handed but am very supersticious and but my shoe on left foot first.. dont know why.

As for the mount. Its a Barfly so since it bends left I put on the right so its centered over the stem.

I'm a right-hander, and haven't bought a proper computer yet, so I just strap my ForeRunner 305 to the left side of the handlebars. I use the left to try to balance off the drag of the drivetrain. Makes sense in my head...

Neither...right on the stem so it's in the middle.

Is this...I'm sorry, but is this a serious question? It may be -- I don't mean to cast aspersions, but...I mean, really?

Put it on the side where it feels comfortable. I promise it won't affect anything. Your bike will not -- I absolutely guarantee this -- go faster or slower as a result.

Do people really need to ask questions like this? How do you get up in the morning and make it to work? Do you have someone decide in what order you should get ready? How do you make it through life??

I don't understand, seriously??

I installed mine on the left side without putting any thought into it and later determined the advantage in getting to keep my right hand on the hood while using my left to switch through functions as I'm right handed. I'm not sure if it would be better to switch over to the right side or not.

Looking through 'show off your bike here' threads it wasn't easy to tell with most pictures. ::shrugs::
