Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? importing SS bike from japan to us?

from flickr:

I really like the white frame and have rode a trek soho. Only problem is I live in california and this white frame is only available in japan. Is there any way I could import it? I know it might be expensive but how do i even go about doing it? without flying over there and buying it, i suppose.

thanks!

You should go to Japan just for the experience of it. Nothing to do with bikes.

Easiest way would just contacting a Japanese bike store and seeing if they'll post it over. Should be able to pay over the phone/email with your credit card.
