New to forum and Cycling
Hello everyone.
New to forum and Cycling
So at 36 I felt that I needed a change to my heath and wanting to cut out this dad bod. I made a change and started cycling to and from work 9 miles each way.
Well I’m down 10 lbs. and feel great every day I ride.
So, when I started out I was riding at about 11 MPH AVG, and my ride would take just under 1 hour. This was on a Walmart Road bike. Now that I have upgrades to a Vilano Shadow Large, I’m happy to say that today I hit one of my biggest goals and made it in under 30 minutes with a new average speed of 18 MPH.
Want to keep pushing and my next goal is to get my AVG Speed over 20 and my ride time under 20min.
Oh, and I try to do longer rides on the weekends like over 30 miles. Want to do my first century in the next 2 or 3 months.

"Vilano Shadow Large" - Had to look it up. What a great bike.
Whats your ride like? Road? Paved? Gravel? Up? Down? Traffic?
And how do you keep your bike from walking off?

Thanks everyone,
I will check out the commuting forum.
Zandoval, So I take paved roads with one climb and it has bike lanes for about 80% of the way. As for keeping my bike from walking off. I work in a office so I just take it in to my office with me.
