Kryptonite Evolution Mini 7 - fits around frame and rear tire?

I just recently bought a Giant Roam 2 hybrid bike, now looking for a U lock for it.

Is the mini 7 large enough to go around the frame, rear wheel, and whatever stationary object im locking it to? Or would a standard sized U lock be better.

Considering the NEW-U - EVOLUTION MINI-7 WITH FLEX or the NEW-U - KRYPTOLOK STANDARD WITH FLEX

I have this lock and its not big enough to include my rear wheel when i lock it to one of the "staple"-type 4" diameter bar bike rack things. The ones like upside down "U"s. It'd probably work with a street sign or something thin. I use the included cable to wrap around both front and rear wheels.
