Your wife doesn't notice the new to you Bianchi Campion D' Italia shows up in the garage!

Has seen me working on her, riding her, not a word! Mid 90's, I believe. Pearl Celeste in color. RD/brifters (Centaur 10 speed) & wheels (Campy CX) are newer. Rest is Campy Mirage.

Can anyone confirm my suspicion that this is a 94-95 Bianchi?

My wife doesn't know or care about what or how many bikes I have. She doesn't know the difference between a Walmart bike and a Colnago Super. And I like it that way.

I'm safe, no one rides or cares about bikes where I live. That's one of the reasons I like this forum, people to talk about bikes with.

The way I stay on the safe side with the wife is when I buy myself a bicycle, she gets a bicycle in the same Bianchi color.

Beaitiful campione by the way. Don't forget to post it in the official bianchi thread to keep it alive.

Nice Bianchi. I have a Trofeo, bought as bare frame and built up with a mish-mash of parts. Seller said frameset was a 92 for what it's worth. Anyway my Trofeo appears to have a frameset & fork identical to yours.

I remember the Campione d'Italia and Trofeo being late 80's to mid 90's bikes. Your Centaur bits make it a much nicer bike. Don

Congratulations!

My first serious girlfriend dumped me over a 1987 Bianchi acquisition. (But that was 1988.)

Ultimately, it is all about the ride quality.

I most definitely would notice that... Mainly because she doesn't really like jewelry.

Great bike Don,

That does help. My LBS of choice is a Bianchi dealer, same place I bought my Infinito. He called his Bianchi rep who stated that there is NOT a record of serial numbers the company keeps to track year frames were made.

Here's what happens when you have too many bikes: you accidentally scratch the paint on the '37 Paramount track bike when you're in a hurry trying to hoist the '54 Singer randonneusse out of the pile.

Sucks when that happens.

No such thing as too many bikes.

Pfffft, too many bikes! Who let this guy in? I have never heard such an offensive thing, I mean how could he ask . . . .too many bikes, do these words even go together as part of a sentence, is this part of a new language ?

I'm so confused. . . .

There's volume and then there's serial variety. I knew a guy in the motorcycle business who had a customer who always bought blue motorcycles. He claimed he'd owned seven since he first got married and his wife never noticed when they changed.

That man deserves an award. That's genius at work right there.

I read some where that man and women spend roughly the same amount of disposable income but in different patterns. Women tend to make smaller purchases more often, a little here, a little there, a nice piece of clothing or an accessory. Men tend to buy nothing for three years and suddenly come home with a jet ski.
