What has become of this Basso?
I picked this up today mainly for the wheelset and bars. Rough shape, looks like it was somewhat set up for a gravel bike.
Rattle canned black but I can make out Basso decals underneath. Any guesses on model? Has brazeon for racks.

I hate to be 'that girl', but is this really a Basso? Sure it has Basso decals under the rattle can but those funky rack brazeons. The seat stays look pretty chunky at the seat cluster even for a Alle frame. Any other pics? Did all Basso frames have the Basso dropouts?

You may be right. I’m definitely no Basso expert. I merely wanted the mavic rims, campy hubs, and wide nitto bars. The price was cheap. Although it is at the low end of my size, so technically I could ride it.

I’m guessing mid eighties at least (whatever it is) with the bolt on plastic cable guide under bottom bracket.

Seatpost is 26.6 but loose in the tube, it’s probably at least a 26.8. I don’t have one on hand to test fit

seems to me that the front and back dropout engraving would match if the fork was original. But I know next to nothing about Bridgestones

No way that is a Basso.
Seat stay caps are all wrong and no Basso had any mounts for wracks. And yes, dropouts should be Basso. The least tubing Basso used was Tre Tubi SL and they worked up from there, so the seatpost size is another no-go for Basso.

What a weird frame to have rack brazeons, under down tube water bottle mount, double rear eyelits and vertical drops - but no cantilever posts? Since it's cruddy out and I've been dreaming of a touring build I've been looking at online images but no luck. Although I have been hungup on the idea of it being a Zunow, though it's too "plain". I got the idea from this forum member Vonruden and his bike from the Japanese touring thread:

I knew it, I was going to ask if they cutoff the cantilever mounts. Ok then I say it's probably a Schwinn Voyager SP. I found this post from The Golden Boy:

This bike was built with THE finest, top of the line in road, touring and mountain bike components made in 1984. It's also interesting that this is a completely Shimano free build. I've swapped a few things out here and there (the handlebars were bent in shipping), but it's really a fantastic riding bike. It has an entirely different feel from my Trek tourers, but it's a great riding bike.

I did throw it back together for a quick ride. The Suntour LePree worked flawlessly. Interesting riding a road bike with the 37s that came on it, I’ve never tried tires that wide before.

The rack mounts are the threaded tab of metal, rather than the threaded barrels brazed to the says.
If it had the brazed on rear cable hanger it would look like a 1981-ish Miyata 1000. I don't know about the SN system Miyata was using- but look into the Miyata/Univega angle. Those style of rack mounts were a little more uncommon- from what I've seen in tourers.

If so, my educated guess would be a Bridgestone Antares LDT. Vertical rear drops, geometry, and water bottle configuration match up.
The 1983 Bridgestone T500 is also a close match, but the fork crown in the closeup differs from the OP's bike. For that matter, the fork crown in the main picture doesn't look quite like the closeup either.
