Haven’t ridden it much yet because of the rain but glad California finally got some rain!

Wowzer. That's beautiful. Love the bartape. And that crankset is wild. Great job.

Great job!

Of course, the excuse that it's raining, so you can't ride doesn't compute to the man from Oregon

;-)

But then, fenders in the Bay Area isn't such a need.

An appropriate use of gold bar wrap. (that doesn't happen often)

Great job, the 'after' is a sweet classic road bike. Nice to save it from the 'before' butcher job it underwent at some point.

Just a note note to the OP,
the top pivot spring on your Simplex derailleur seem to either be broken or worn out, and is not providing enough tension to pull the derailleur back enough from the front of the bike. The derailleur pivot arms should not be that close to almost being parallel to the drive side chainstay. Either that or the spring pivot stop plate that should have its tab resting on the front edge if the rear dropout derailleur hanger arm, is not properly positioned...... I think the last pic could be hinting that this is the case.....

Thank you for pointing that out. I tightened it incorrectly and the pivot stop plate wasn’t resting where it should have been.

Great job, like the aesthetics -from the stylized fade checker graphic, frame color and bar contrast. Cool crank. Thanks for sharing!

My one and only ride is a vintage '84 PH10LE that I bought new. It's a sweet ride and yes, you definitely want one.

I bought one of these new in 1979. The catalog name was PXN10LE. Yes, that's when they stopped chroming the rear triangle and used the surplus chrome on the fork.

Nice to see this follow-up to a really nice-looking build. This is my favorite Peugeot color scheme!

I have the exact same bike, but in pearl white and with white Benotto tape (and in more of a work-horse condition) that I really enjoy riding.
