Fat People Across The World
This 376 pound fat guy rode his 40 pound bike 70 miles today across Western New York. Who else rode a ton of miles and accomplished something amazing?

Good job! That's a heck of an average speed too, even if it is pancake-adjacent.
You're doing it wrong though, you're supposed to SAY you're going to do it and go start a fund raiser and then not go. You're completely upside down here.

This fat dude at 295 lbs rode a little over 21 miles. Planned to do 30+ but at around mile 15 I hit a wall and couldn't get over it, so I cut the ride short. I really need to pick up the miles and pace if I'm gonna do the century ride I plan in late September.

My first Metric Century today. A year ago, I rode 4 miles on my 5 year old racing bike that hadn't been ridden in 4 years and I had to take 3 breaks. Today, I had a rolling average of 16.1 MPH and took 4 breaks, the first one at 22 miles! A year ago I weighed 420lbs. Today, I'm 275 (or less; I haven't weighed myself in a week).

600 feet over 20 miles is no small feat, especially for a clyde. Don't sweat it, you're doing great.

It wasnt long ago that i went on my first ride in forever and I did a paltry 2 or 3 miles with about 5 stops and thought I was going to have a heart attack. I'm very happy with what I can do today, but I also want to do more. Whats funny is almost all of my rides get cut short not because I am tired or legs have died.. its usually due to crotch damage. I have yet to get used to the seat. I have a set of nice bike shorts and am using a well shaped seat. Following all the advice I read on here, but the skin still gets agitated on every ride. But this too shall pass, and before I know it I'll be banging out accidental 88 mile rides like that other dude in the other thread.

I decided to follow that up with an 18mph metric today.
Actually, it was accidental. I wanted to do 30, but a few of my buddies in the club convinced me to do a metric instead. So I managed 18mph, my fastest metric ever.
Yay!

Also I'm a little less fat today than I was a week ago. Weighed in at 369 this morning.

I rested today, after riding 250 miles in the past 6 days, by taking the wife and dogs to the splash and dash event at the local park. We didn't buy any of the fairground type food though

I just noticed that my ride got on the "Last Week's Leaders" table at #2 for the longest ride for the Clydes and Athenas group on Strava. 50 miles behind the #1 spot!
