Brooks Team Professional with large rivets

Looks like 86 is stamped into the frame. The leather is in very good condition... stiff, very stiff! The Brooks plaque is missing from the back. I’m guessing it must have been a plastic one?

$70.00 shipped to continental US. Not sure what a fair price is, so let me know if this is out of line.

If I wasn't already overly rich in saddles. This is my second favorite of the bunch.

I don't think they were ever issued with plastic brand plates. I have 3 of them from different eras, all having different style brand plates, and all of them are metal.

That makes this seem even stranger to me. The rivets for the plate are still there. The person that removed it did it well... but why? I would imagine that it was not easy to do.

It's a nice enough saddle it would be kind of cool to have a custom replacement plate made for it.
Yeah...I think of crazy stuff like that.

Good luck with your sale. MK. And sorry to interject my BS into your sale thread.
It's a real nice saddle.

That may be why it was removed, being the alternate script before they went back to the more traditional style. I have passed on a couple of good deals for not having the tried and true version.

Agreed, that plate is U-G-L-Y. Even so, I would have left it in place.

Brooks saddles from the eighties were commonly fitted with plastic plates. Nasty, .screen-printed things.
