Orlando Group Ride/Events - 10/1/2011

My wife is participating in the Disney half-marathon on 10/1/2011 and we'll be down there for a couple of days before and after. I was wondering if there was a group ride/event anyone knew about for 10/1/2011 in the Orlando or surrounding areas? I'd love to do one while I'm down there.

Thanks!

There are a couple of group rides depending on where you are staying. I am assuming since she is running the Disney Half; you are staying somewhere near the mouse. Here is the weekly list of rides which will give you some good links to check out most of the groups who host rides.

Its pretty thorough. If you have any specific questions or if you know your location - please feel free to hit me up or Slo Poke Jim : He is the real Orlando Authority around here.

Crazy88, good advise from Porter20 with the link to the windermereroadies site. Also check out the Florida Freewheelers site for some good maps. Hal Downing puts out a very good weekly news letter every Thursday with all of the updated info for the week. A week or so before you come to Orlando put a post on here to remind me and I will get you a copy of the latest info from him. Hope this helps.

There's nothing up yet, but you can check back on this calendar for centuries and other organized events:

Here's a good link for rails to trails. If you can't find an organized event, there are some great rides on any of these:
