Rare 68 cm Cannondale ST400 frame.

Fat tube aluminum, SUPER XL size.

I am having a fork made for it now- didn't have one when I picked it up.

Just thought I would put it out there pre-sale:

Anybody 6'8 - 7'2 in need of an awesome ride?

[h=2]Litespeed Catalyst frame 55cm titanium - $450 (center city)[/h]

Date: 2012-08-04, 12:40PM EDT

Too. Many. Bikes. I would be sad to see this go, but I need the space and fewer nice things.

For sale is an American-made Litespeed Catalyst frame circa 1996. 1" head tube. Vertical drop outs. It has a gorgeous (in my opinion, anyway) matte ti finish, very raw looking. I removed most of the corny decals a while ago, but it still has the Lynskey signature on the chainstays and a sweet Litespeed headbadge so people will know you're riding in style.

Included is a Tange Infinity fork, 1" threaded, and a Stronglight headset. The original stock bike had a bonded aluminum fork that I just wouldn't feel right selling with it (the new one is nicer, anyway). Everything is bike mechanic owned and maintained. Frame has been recently measured and is in alignment.

Email me if you think you might be interested and I can be bothered to upload a picture. I also have a ton of bike stuff, so if you're looking for anything else for a build I could throw in some other parts to make a deal work...

Identical frame w/decals recently sold for $600 on ebay... I'd rather keep it local so get it while it's hot!

Guys - it's a forum to post CL ads - he posted CL ads. If you don't like the price or bike, move on. The number of posts shouldn't matter - we were all new here once and I think the recent editorializing of bikes posted has been inaccurate and inappropriate.

Selling a 90's Cannondale road bike. Good condition, shifters and breaks work well and recently tuned up. May need new tires eventually, otherwise its ready to ride. I used this bike often for many years, more into mountain biking these days. Asking $200/OBO, but also willing to trade for comparable mountain bike or hybrid bike. All offers considered. Very cool look and great riding bike. Frame is lightweight aluminum gel seat, and has Shimano derailer and breaks.

Bianchi Volpe in what appears to be great condition. I got it at a yard sale dirty with two flat rotten tires and it had not been serviced in quite a while (or just bad service because all of the bearings were cranked down). It is now up to speed with service and new bearing grease but I am just too big for it (6'3") I believe that it is a medium size but I do not know a lot about road bikes. Price is due to $100 just in brand new tires and tubes. $250 OBO

Joe, we all understand about negotiating. We all here also have some idea of what's what when it comes to vintage bikes. And this thread is NOT for just any old bike for sale at any price, but for those that we spot that ARE something special or a great deal. I see, and I'm sure others do, things that don't seem that special to ME. We all have our different tastes, budgets, tolerance for pain, etc. But a gaspipe bike for $150 is nothing that ANYONE in this forum is going to get excited about. It looks like you are posting things that are not close to you in LV, things that anyone close to them will already know about. Where you might provide a service to the forum is in things that are local to you that outsiders won't necessarily know about without scouring LV CL. And it'll help if they are special and/or a deal...preferably both.

With all that said, welcome to the forum.

ps: my first post here was to come into this very thread and ask questions about bikes...quite the wrong thing, but people were polite, and I eventually learned my way around. I'm sure you will too.

This Miyata 1000 may be pricey, but I thought these were sought after and this one looks pretty much all original including front and rear racks. The guy dropped from $450 to $350 in 24 hours so you might be able to get it for a decent price:

1960's 58cm Vintage Italian Legnano Roma Olympiad Road Racing Bicycle - $350

Needs a full restoration and not super-cheap, but looks all original and is a cool/rare bike. Alas, not my size...
