The valuation forum has it's issues also. Pricing on a local sale vs. an auction sale can vary considerably. Pricing from city to city can also vary considerably. Generally speaking any pricing info given should come with a disclaimer that it will vary based on location, sale venue, timetable for selling, lack of final selling price information, etc. Also, I wonder if there would be a conflict of interest by any resellers offering appraisals as they have an interest to keep prices high. So basically, any opinion on pricing is not really going to determine the value of anything, so why bother?

Mildenberger? I have no interest in the bike but I've never heard of this brand and there is zero information on the internet about it. This particular seller seems way optimistic about the value, but now I'm just curious about the history of this company. Anyone ever heard of it? It seems dutch.
European 10 Speed Touring Bike-Works Great!
European 10 Speed Touring Bike-Works Great!
Mildenberger AMV 27" bicycle. I have researched this brand relentlessly online and called every bike shop in town and can only find one online picture with the name Mildenberger, but it was not this style. I have emailed that European web site, so you may want to look at this now before I learn it could be worth a lot more than I am asking.
The bike rides perfect. I believe it is a 10 speed. It has Shimano gears and an Italia touring riding seat. There are stickers on the bike from European companies. It is a very vintage cool looking bike in burnt orange. I believe it is a woman's bike because of the angle of the center bar. There is a child seat included. It has lights and reflectors and a toolbox below the seat. Aero Coronado pedal bar. Etched into the handlebars it says Friko Super Touring (drop handlebars). Union generator.
The back light is missing the bulb and cover but the wire is there to hook it up. The bike has a few minor scrapes, the brakes are good, the shifter is good and the tires are both good Michelin tires.

Yeah... I hadn't noticed that. Kind of looks like he turned the seat post around backwards to move the saddle closer to the handlebars. It is a pretty tall bike. Maybe the owner is trying to make up for it being too big.

I'd call and ask what is written on the brakes. If they say "Dura Ace" go buy the bike.

I wonder if it is supposed to be some sort of Tri set up with a forward seatpost position?

Bay window Split window or Safari window? I thought split window was applied to earlier sedans (aka beetles) with the tiny split oval window, not to be confused with the earlier models refered to as 'oval' windows.

Barndoors - 1950's (had a single big door for both engine and rear storage access)
Split Windows - late 50's/arly 60's to 1967 (2 front windows)
Bay Windows ( one big front window) - 1968 to 1979-80
Vanagon - 1980ish +
Safari windows were actually an option for Split Window generation buses where the front windows were hinged at the top and could be pushed out for additional air flow.

I don't believe split window beetles are colloquially referred to as "splitties" like the pre-68 microbuses are.
Don't forget Eurovans 1990-2003.
