Never knew that Mercier made low-end bikes:

[h=2]Men's 24'' Mercier - $160 (Spokane Valley)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: like new

Extremely nice Men's Mercier bike ready to ride. This bike's tires have next to perfect tread on them with very little riding done on them. Very clean frame with no rust anywhere. Both breaks and shifters work just fine. If interested Call or Text Joe

Trek 520 (30.5" stand over height)
[h=2]Trek 520 (30.5" stand over height) - $175 (Cambridge )[/h]

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 19.25 in (c-to-t)

A lightly used Trek 520 with Reynolds 501 tubing. The bike was in storage for many years as can be seen with the original (27 inches , not 700cc) Trek tires that are on the bike. The stand over height of the bike is 30.5", or 19.25" as measured from center of bottom bracket to the top of the top tube (remember the bike comes with a 27" tire).

Note: I will re-install the original handlebars.

I see the pedal rub on that Bottecchia Equipe but it's conceivable that it could be paid for just by selling the pedals and the freewheel.

Remember in Wayne's World, when Garth would see his dream girl and "Dream Weaver" would start playing and everything would get all slow-motion? Yeah. I just had one of those moments. Can't even come close to that kind of money right now though. Maybe someone else could pick it up. (You know, to hold it for me.)

[h=2]1993 Eddy Merckx - $800[/h]

1993 Eddy Merckx 56cm Campagnolo Record\Ergo\Delta Group. This is a classic road bicycle of the highest quality. The lugged frame is hand built in Belgium of Colombus SL tubing. It has just under 1000 miles in its first year of life. And has had a prominent place in my living room ever since. Every part on this bicycle is Campagnolo except for the handle bars, seat, stem and tires. This bicycle is ready to go. Install the pedals of your choice and go ride that century.

Can't find much info out about this builder but it looks nice & nice hardware.

Detto Pietro 56CM Columbus frame, W/Dura Ace

This is a 56CM Detto Pietro frame with a mostly Dura Ace 7400 build. The frame is Columbus SL tubing with internal cable routing and great lug details. The frame is in great shape with no dents or dings, but has plenty of scratches and some rust pitting in the chrome, so it could use a new paint job. Groodybros.com in KCK does excellent powder coating work on bike frames, fyi.

The components on this bike are top notch.
Dura Ace front/rear derailleur
Dura Ace shifters
Dura Ace Seatpost
Dura Ace Crankset
NOS Mavic Reflex rims laced to Dura Ace hubs
Cinelli XA stem
Shimano 600 Brakes and Headset
Worldclass Titanium bottom bracket

In all the bike weighs 19.2lbs without pedals, and that's with a fairly heavy seat.

I found it interesting that the owner is claiming less than 500 miles on a 20 year old bike. *** 1997 KLEIN STAGE ROAD BIKE ***

condition: good size / dimensions: 21 inch

I have owned both since the 70s. Vintage Colnago with an assortment of parts. Raleigh Pro is frame only. I raced on both. They have been in my garage now for too long. Time for someone else to enjoy them. They have normal wear and tear. Looking to find a new, appreciative home for both. I know what they are worth. Make me a reasonable offer and they are yours. Please, serious inquiries only. Not looking to ship out of state or country. Trying to find a local biking enthusiast who can appreciate the craftsmanship from 35-40 years ago!

Cool Suntour Command Shifters!

Vitus 979/Suntour Superbe Pro
[h=2]Vitus 979/Suntour Superbe Pro - $449 (Salem NH)[/h]

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 52-53 cm, rider 5'8"-5'9"

I just had this bike tuned up at the shop and it's ready to ride. I built it back in 1986 using the best components I could afford:

Vitus 979 bonded aluminum frame & fork 52cm, Stronglight Hinault headset, Suntour Superbe Pro front & rear deraillers, Suntour 12-21 freewheel 7 cogs 126mm, Ofmega Super Competizione crankset with 52/42 chainrings, Suntour Superbe Pro brakes & levers, Suntour Accushift levers, Suntour Superbe Pro seatpost, Serfas leather seat & new bar wraps, Campagnolo rims with Phil Wood sealed bearing hubs, New Michelin Pro 4 tires & tubes

Always maintained well, it's in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures. Ridden an average of maybe 200-250 miles per year. Some years not at all. I'd like it to go to a good home where it will be appreciated. You can pick it up or I can ship it at extra cost.

I have no interest in the frame, but I LOVE that parts mix. If this were local I'd definitely pick this up and part out.

If someone likes the frame I'd definitely be willing to do some sort of split on this.

What kind of a monster are you? Didn't you read the part where the seller mentions that he wants it to go to a good home?

I didn't read it at all - I looked at the parts group. Considering it's a Frankenstein, I also don't think parting it out is any great crime. It can go to a few great homes
