Hey all, haven't been around much, it is Summer after all.
Saw this ad, and I know I'm not the only fan of the classic Black Lightning.

A lightly used Trek 520 with Reynolds 501 tubing. The bike was in storage for many years as can be seen with the original (27 inches , not 700cc) Trek tires that are on the bike. The stand over height of the bike is 30.5", or 19.25" as measured from center of bottom bracket to the top of the top tube (remember the bike comes with a 27" tire).
Note: I will re-install the original handlebars.

I see the pedal rub on that Bottecchia Equipe but it's conceivable that it could be paid for just by selling the pedals and the freewheel.

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 52-53 cm, rider 5'8"-5'9"
I just had this bike tuned up at the shop and it's ready to ride. I built it back in 1986 using the best components I could afford:
Vitus 979 bonded aluminum frame & fork 52cm, Stronglight Hinault headset, Suntour Superbe Pro front & rear deraillers, Suntour 12-21 freewheel 7 cogs 126mm, Ofmega Super Competizione crankset with 52/42 chainrings, Suntour Superbe Pro brakes & levers, Suntour Accushift levers, Suntour Superbe Pro seatpost, Serfas leather seat & new bar wraps, Campagnolo rims with Phil Wood sealed bearing hubs, New Michelin Pro 4 tires & tubes
Always maintained well, it's in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures. Ridden an average of maybe 200-250 miles per year. Some years not at all. I'd like it to go to a good home where it will be appreciated. You can pick it up or I can ship it at extra cost.
