Classic Pinarello Gavia -- Mostly Full Dura Ace

No pics, but sounds like it needs some money invested into it. Not really knowledgeable on the high end vintage market(if this is even mid-high end?), what does this bike usually go for?

For $300 that's sounding pretty interesting. That's the first time one of these posts has been in my neck of the woods! It's two hours away, but I have contacts and it's in my size (60cm)!! I requested pics and will post if I get them.

Yeah it's my size as well, hopefully it's a nice bike and someone gives it a good home(hopefully one of us!). I got an offer for a job up in the Flathead(Kalispell), but rent and pricing is outrageous out there, even in out lying areas like columbia falls. Half of the posts on apt/housing on CL in Kalispell are complaining about the prices. As much as I hate Butte and Anaconda, at least I make decent money and rent is cheap. Plus this is Tour Divide country, not a lot of road bike or road culture out here.

I used to work for the National Park Service, and it has always been my dream to be near Glacier, so I'll make it up there soon. Plus

Vintage Cilo TR-1 Road Bike- Reynolds 531 frame- 61cm - $140 (Sterling)
image 1
image 1image 2image 3image 4image 5image 6image 7image 8

condition: excellent

Selling my vintage Cilo Swiss TR-1 road bike. This bike is more of a race bike, with a very lightweight Reynolds 531 frame, and Wrights leather saddle. The bike is in great condition, and was considering doing a single speed conversion on this bike. The front derailleur needs to be installed, on which I am providing. The rear shifts very good. The rear wheels needs the axle put in since the one currently on the wheel is broken, but I am also supplying the rear axle to accommodate the modern quick release skewers since the original axle uses a butterfly collar for quick release... very simple, 10 minute fix. The bearings have all been greased, and are in great condition. Tires are 700 x 28c in great condition. All it takes is 15 minutes of your time to get this bike up and running, and makes for a great lightweight, fast commuter. Selling as is because I have too many other bike projects I am working on, and gives you the great opportunity to save yourself alot of money for a great bike. If interested, please send email. Asking for $140, or best offer. Thanks for looking.

I was just going to post this. I would love that for $100. The frame rides really nice. OH it is an '87 Tange DB ChroMo main tubes.

Looking for a 92/93 Bridgestone RB-1 in a 50...
I know these are a dime a dozen to find, so hopefully one will be in an area near you.

Searched through the bay & onecraigs w/ no avail.

I think the home made triple and the hybrid conversion are what really make it standout.

This 22.5" (56cm) Paramount was built in September 1972. The original owner told me it was factory repainted about 1980. The bike is in great condition, just needs a cleaning. All Campagnolo.
The original Campagnolo pedals will come with the bike, not the pedals in the photos.

I was told by the original owner that after the factory repainting in 1980 that this bike spent most of its time as a wall hanger in his family room.

Schwinn Paramount 1972
I'm the original owner of this bike. I sold it to this owner in 2009. The wheelset, pedals and brakes are revised from what I supplied at the time.

Mike- Now that's so cool to know and makes it even sweeter! If I wasn't too bike rich at the moment, probably would be on my way to get it. Love the color against the chrome. Many years have longed for one. How do I explain this to the wife? More shoes or handbags are fine.... LOL

I found a 83 Schwinn Voyageur in a trash dumpster today but it's sort of rough, and someone took off the original Shimano Deore derailleurs and put on Shimano Tourney crap. But at the very least the 27" wheels are are original and true so those alone are worth the find in case I need a spare set for my 85 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe. Not sure what I'm going to do with the bike yet, I may attempt to fix it up a bit and polish the heck out of it and try to sell it, but I have to be careful not to spend more on parts then the thing is worth.

It`s a beautiful bike. That color is so cool looking. That would be a grail bike to me. My wallet can only afford a shot glass though. A few months back I was looking on CL and noticed an add that said Vintage Schwinn $100. My eyeballs popped out when I looked at the pictures to see a red Paramount with beautiful chrome lugs. I was not the first to respond though. 9 minutes had past from the time he listed it to the time I messaged him. One day it will be me.

Looks like one of the low-end Falcon-built Merckx frames, so no big deal.

IMHO:

Big boy production bikes: We all know who they are and they bring big bucks. De Rosa, Merckx, Pinarello, Colnago etc....
Main stream production bikes: Trek, Miyata, Raleigh, Schwin etc...
Small volume little known builders: Way to niche to bring good money. Small demand means you need to find that one special buyer

That seat would have to go.
I originally posted this on the wacky thread. Maybe it has some value as a parts bike.
