Depends on the groupset. With Ultegra, about $950 according to Bicycle Blue Book, for what that's worth.

Ty

He went
he looked
he purchased

apparently it’s a Ultegra R3
Immaculate- not a mark on it!
paid a reasonable price given the great condition.

unsure how I did, but it rides nice and I’m happy.
seller claims wheels were an upgrade. I’ll try find out what was stock.

Barry

Edit - Found out all 2011 R3's are marked "Project California"

Anytime you can get a Cervelo, it's a good day in my book.

Is that a 58?

$1100 is a great price, so not take it for a ride.

That is a 61cm.
The bike I've been riding is a Holdsworth Special 25" (63.5cm)
Now I understand bikes have changed over the 40 years since I built the Holdsworth, but a modern 58cm just feels too small.

I really want a new R3 and really don't want to get one that feels weird. Several stores I've visited recommend a 58.
However I'm 6'1' 200lbs and have a 37" inseam (measured correctly with spirit level) so I'm not thinking 58cm with these long legs.

The plan is to play with this 61cm, do some miles, then sell it and buy new once I've tried the 61cm and have had a full bike fitting.
I shouldn't lose a lot of money on the used R3, and not making a $4,000+ size mistake will be worth it.

Barry

I have since noticed the wheels are 16/20 spoked and that's a little worrying. Although I'm not hard on wheels.
I don't want to buy new rim wheels when my new R3 will be disk.

OH... and Yes, I've spent the evening setting up and will be out on it in the morning. Can't wait, it is soooo light!

A 61cm is not a common size so supply and demand comes I to play. While not east to find a 61 for sale, it's harder to find a buyer. I bet you were the only person to show interest In it and could of got it for $800.

When you come to sell it, expect it to take some time and don't plan on getting your money back.

I agree. But where else can you rent a Cervelo at $300 for 2-3 months !
Assuming I don’t give it an 8 color rattle can paint job and use it for work. 8-)

Agreed.

A rental would cost $50 per day.

It appears the wheels are a mismatch. Did the PO change one out?

I’m told they were changed. Front rim is unbranded, hubs are the same.
mismatched, maybe. So no style points?

I’ll be sure to rattle can the rims when I do the frame.

realistically, if I keep the bike I’ll buy more spokes. 16/20 seems minimal for 200lbs rider?

I have a 2012 R3 and still ride it with the default SRAM setup. Very nice ride and always enjoy taking it out.

Hey, I like the R3 in White better.
The current fad for black on black bikes is weird.
For me, at least the components should all be shiny silver in color.

Took the bike for a 25 mile spin this morning. It's a keeper.
Much more comfortable than the Holdsworth and quicker.

I'm going to enjoy this R3

Good luck with the new purchase. I don't think you'll regret it.

This one is a 2016 which some guy bought for his girlfriend, changed the BB for a screw-together unit and swapped out the FSA crankset for Ultegra. Then he found her in flagrante delicto with some other guy and sold the bike unridden. I didn't want discs, but the price was too low to pass up.

I don't particularly like the black on black look, either, and most of my winter clothing is black, too, which makes me look like Johnny Cash or the Wicked Witch of the West, but it sure is a nice little bike.

Those HED wheels are nice! If i ever went shallow, those would be my choice.

They were OEM on that bike and are the bottom of the Ardennes line. However, still way nicer than the DT Swiss 1800s they're selling on the Ultegra mechanical model now.

if you get tired of it, and it's a 56, that's basically my dream bike so let me know .... Hate to see you suffer with those discs.

Thanks... and I’m feeling better about the price. If I got within a couple hundred of blue book for a great condition example, I dun good !
Got a New chain coming and new jockey wheels, now to teach myself to adjust indexed gears.
