Track hubs at... Walmart!
Track hubs at Walmart?!?!
I can't believe it!
Yes, it's only a Formula Track hub, but still good quality. And cheaper than anywhere else too!

WalMart isn't selling anything here, except for space in their storefront. The 'Marketplace' phenomenon is widespread, allowing retailers to fill holes in product offerings by allowing other sellers to offer products through a popular, visible website. This item is sold by Bikewagon.

That's not even a good price for that hub, which has loose bearings. You can buy the better hub with cartridge bearings for the same price. Stuff sold through the Walmart storefront by third party sellers is rarely a good deal.

The Walmart Marketplace is new to me. It sounds a little like Amazon.com. But maybe it's different.
If Walmart is just letting local shops advertise through their site, then maybe they really are committed to helping local communities and stores. So, as much as Walmart is criticized for destroying local Mom-and-Pop stores, maybe they should also receive some gratitude for helping local businesses out too.

Those small business have to pay seller fees and all kinds of other bull**** just to sell their products on Amazon, Walmart, Sears etc. so it's not helping them as much as you seem to think.

I'm not saying that it's right, but what do you expect? For Walmart to let small businesses sell in their stores, or online store, for free? That seems more naive.

Why do we have to talk so damned much about WallyMart on this forum (not just SS/FG)? We get it sometimes they have bike parts or stuff real cheap, that is their business sell stuff cheap and **** everyone and everything else.
If you need track hubs and you don't have a local shop or a shop that can order them, you have Retrogression, run by one of our very own members.

Well, I think WallyMart is using cellphone towers to fry our brains with WallyMart microwaves, so we'll all comply. Oh, the voices, the voices are so loud !

And DON'T believe it!!!!
These parts aren't at Walmart... or Amazon.. or sorry to say even at most LBS's (now-a-days). Just-in-time manufacturing, warehousing, and sales makes almost any and everything available to on-line stores. These products will still be made in the same factories (somewhere in Asia). Walmart is just integrating the Amazon model into their on line store. Others are sure to follow.
