The obvious hint/implication of conflict of interest not withstanding, they’ve been quite unprofessional. I think you’d be more than justified to look for an alternate infusion center/location. If you do decide to go to an alternate location I believe they need to be made aware of the fact that they “compelled” you to make the change via their unprofessional treatment to you.
So I'll probably not rock the boat for now and hope I just had bad luck with the nurse's schedule. That said, before my previous witch doctor quit this group and moved away (after only two months there) made a comment about some "red flags" at the place.

The answer(s) are that it's complicated.
Many physicians DO own, or have a stake in, their infusion centers, and DO profit from expensive meds like Remicade and chemo for cancer patients, etc....the drugs are supposed to be priced to cover the cost plus administration fees etc, but I am confident there is profit in there too. In some healthcare systems, the physicians do NOT have a stake in the profit from drugs given, and it goes to the "system."
Just as one would hope a surgeon would only recommend a surgery because it's the BEST option for you, I would hope an ordering physician would order a medicine or treatment independent of profit. I don't know if that's always true, so one must choose one's surgeons and physicians carefully.!

So it's entirely possible the doctor doesn't see a cent from infusion services.
It would just feel a lot more kosher if they'd give you an Rx with the option to use their place, rather then just herd you to their scheduler (no questions asked) to get your drug.

My Stephen likes the sun to an extent, but he also doesn't mind going out on the back deck when it's cold. He'll even go out when it's raining lightly. He used to live on the streets, so I guess he's used to weather. Plus, he's got lots of blubber to keep him warm. It was in the low 20s this morning and he still spent time outside.

So they released a preliminary route for the gravel event next week. They famously list events as "100K-ish, 50K-ish" because none of the routes are set in stone. Due to weather, road maintenance, etc. they always scout the route and release a final version the night before. Anyway, all that to say that the 50K-ish that I signed up for is 37 miles. So, like 60K. The organizer's favorite line is "Hey, those are free miles! I'm not even charging extra."
So anyway, given that my almost 43 mile ride in crazy wind as right at 3 hours, I'd be doing well to tackle a mostly gravel route of 37 miles in 3 hours. I'll make that my rough target for now.
Not sure what to do in terms of fake miles this week. Should I just do two easy ~20 mile rides on Tuesday and Thursday? The ride is Saturday morning.

Part of it is people have gotten so used to "millennials = lazy teenagers/ early 20s" that they just hold tight to that instead of realizing that many of us have careers that are old enough to drive or vote. A number of people have been surprised when I point out that I'm a millennial because they think I'm too old, and a few have even said I can't possibly be.

Dress to be cold the first 15-20 minutes. To me, core is most important, followed by feet and hands.
To ride today, I'd wear: thin hat that covers my ears, ss base layer (lightweight wool), medium weight cycling jacket, neck gaiter, bibs under tights, mid weight merino socks, neoprene shoe covers, gloves.
With the above, I'd be a little chilly heading out, but good after a warm-up. If I start to get too warm, I'll unzip my jacket a little - the upper chest is a great radiator.
Dress to be cold the first 15-20 minutes. To me, core is most important, followed by feet and hands.
To ride today, I'd wear: thin hat that covers my ears, ss base layer (lightweight wool), medium weight cycling jacket, neck gaiter, bibs under tights, mid weight merino socks, neoprene shoe covers, gloves.

It really depends on where you are with your ability to recover. You could probably be fine with a harder ride on Tues and an easy ride on Thurs, but you know you better than we.

I was actually really wanting to do one course, but against all logic, it's locked out below level 12 (even though all sections are accessible after level 10) and I am just a short ride from leveling up. I guess it can wait until next week.
