Rear caliper brake run on front - safe or not?

Due to the fixie fad, there is a surplus of abandoned rear caliper brake arches and accompanying good deals. The brake bolt on the front caliper is typically over twice as long as the bolt on the rear caliper. The front recessed brake nut is also longer.

If you use a brake nut that is long enough to reach through a fork's brake nut hole and fully engage all the threads on the rear caliper's bolt, do you think it's safe to run the rear arch on the front like this?

Make sure you turn the brake shoes around too, don't want the open end of the pad holder facing forward.

you should be able to buy new center mounting bolts to replace the short ones.

It would be fine IF you can find such a long tubular nut.
