Vintage Detto Pietro leather shoes w/cleats, MAYbe size 38
For sale are these lightly used, black perforated leather vintage Detto Pietro shoes with plastic "PAVARIN" screw-on cleats.
They are in very good condition for their age, could stand a little application of the treatment of your choice to soften the leather since they are just a touch stiff from storage, but not cracking nor dried out, no visible damage. Even the white vinyl logos are mainly intact.
The cleats have a bit of road rash from normal use but slots are still usable.
ONLY issue is I have no idea what size these are! I bought them many moons ago and knew I could never fit in them but can't find ANY size indication anywhere.
The bottom of the soles measure exactly 10-15/16" from tip-to-tip-heel-to-toe...so if that's your size...gentlemen, it's PIE!
I was guessing about a size 38, but you tell ME.
Asking $50 plus $13 flat rate USPS shipping in a medium box to any USA address...overseas shipping at actual cost.
Here's a few low-res pics, I can take more if you need more.
PM me.
UPDATE: SOLD 3/17/17

O-Worthy-1
Yeah. They stamped the leather soled version with size. On the plastic soled ones, they put a small round sticky label on the bottom, indicating size. Which of course, didn't stray on long.
Great price if these fit someone.

p.s. Just as a point of reference, I just measured a pair of NOS Dettos I have, Unworthy1, and yours may be a better ( more usable) size than 38. Mine are stamped 42 on the sole, and measure 10 3/4 from tip of toe to tip of heel, along the outside of the sole bottom. Leather soles, however.
So, these could be 42's or maybe 41's ! 42 would be my guess, FWIW. Way mo' bettah.
If they are 42's, that is a killer price for them.
Just FYI.

+1 to what @rootboy says about the sizing. I believe I have the same size 42 shoes as rootboy describes (NOS DP leather soles) and they measure 10 3/4".

I have been asked to measure again with the cleat removed (seems like a no-brainer now, but didn't occur to me before) so will update this with the new measurement tomorrow.
Thanks for your interest, folks!

I removed the cleats and re-measured so consider this info in your decisions:
I measure the SOLE from tip of toe to tip of heel at the widest points as
10-7/8" or 276mm
so maybe these are size 42 as some have suggested (?).
I have one interested party who contacted me by PM as well as peterhru above who can't use PM so will try to make this fair (no bidding wars, this is not eBay !)
Peterhru made 'first contact' timing-wise so will have first dibs, then the "next guy" if peter opts out.
