Anyone have a good quite route from Montreal to Northampton MA for the early Summer? Gonna camp & (warmshowers.org if possible) though Vermont.
Will be taking at least 9 days off. Amtrack to Montreal & pedal home

Straight down rt. 100 thru Vermont is nice. Sometimes a little trafficky. TORSV rides the whole way up one day and the whole way down the next.

check out Nuns route of Boston to Montreal, this may help. Ive bookmarked this route of his as a possible future trip, but am not sure of where you are in relation to Boston (but I would assume that a good chunk of the route near here out to the States would be useful for you, even if your route has to change to go to your area)

If you do rt. 100 through VT, at Jacksonville, take 112 to Shelburne Falls, MA, then I think it's So. Conway Rd. to Conway. At Conway, go Left to So. Deerfield and you can get Rt. 5 to Hamp from there.
