Spinergy Rev X wheel with New tire and Tube for $150?

I was looking at an app where they sell used stuff like craigslist and I found a person selling a front Spinergy Rev X wheel with new tires and tubes for $150! Do you think this is a good deal as my current wheel set on my ride is a anchor.

Do you think it's a good deal? If so, it doesn't matter what anyone here thinks.

As for myself, I wouldn't take it if it were free.

Are they really cheap quality wheels? I am just looking for good wheels for the cost because I am on a low budget.

I wouldn't do it.

The engineering and design of spinergy revolution x's do not age well whatsoever. It was engineered for speed and aerodynamics in the short term; not longevity.

Carbon weave technology and epoxy formulations have come long ways since then as well. Plus you have from 25 - 16 years (they were produced 1991 - 2000) of accumulated age, use, and UV exposure to contend with.

That wheel was not made to take a 5 step stair case in their defense. Would I ride one? No. However, I bet that there are some spoked wheels that might do the same after that jump.
