Today I gave a little payback to my obnoxious crazy neighbor. Our two driveways are adjacent, and she had a side loading truck pull up and block both of them to make it easy to load and unload. Normally I would not make a fuss since I don't need to get my cars out today, but given the crap she's been pulling lately I ordered the driver to move the truck so that it would not block my driveway. This makes it very inconvenient for them, but that's the price for messing with a grouchy elderly retiree. Get off my lawn, haha.

Hahaha yeah, I have alot going on in my office.

I'm lucky that I can get things delivered here, for sure. My house is on a corner, and we have two schools in our neighborhood, which means LOTS of mischievous kids walking around...

Spent a good portion of a rainy morning at my work, not working. While at the bike shop I replaced the chain and freewheel on my 2010 FUCX Motobecane. This is my rain/ commuter bike. Love it !

Old chain stretched(beyond shame) with a new KMC 410 while the original freewheel Dicta got replaced with a new Shimano 16t.

Drank good coffee then headed out to ride over to the State Vet cemetery to visit with my folks. Eventually wound up back home.

Today I did some decent climbing on some of the steepest hills in our city. A regular on the Wednesday ride brought his brother, who has downs syndrome, along for the climbs on a tandem. It was awesome and moving.

Today was a good for a change:

1) Mouth pretty much healed up from dental work last Tuesday.
2) Beautiful sunny day with light winds so I got in a nice 30 mile bike ride, and beat a train to a crossing just as the gates were coming down for some excitement.
3) Mowed my front lawn to catch up with yardwork after it had grown really tall from all the rain we've had.
4) Sitting back on my porch chair now with a glass of Perrier on the rocks and just a pinch of Jack.

Today I went over the handlebars for the first time in a loooong while. Fortunately, my chin, throat, and chest broke my fall - so no harm done but a bit o' whiplash and a chainring gash in the thigh.

The best thing about this "technique" is that if you time it right, you can take off quick, instead of from a dead stop, like from a track stand.

I can't stop thinking about this gravel/cross race near me at the end of August and how I can fit decently wide rubber in my frame.

Today I had to stop and yell at a family for letting their 2-3 year old daughter run around the middle of the bike lane. Some people just have no sense of their surroundings.

Dude, I'm trying to plan a trip from Toronto to Montreal. I need to get my daily distance up though.

I would definitely ask to tag along on that trip. Been thinking about that exact ride for a while. I know a few guys in Toronto that would also be down for that.

Definitely, more the better.

Now that I have a new position at work I can take any days off without having someone to cover me.

Dude, you have a steamroller. They can fit cross/mtb tires no problem (Surly says you can go up to 38 mm!!!). I say you do it.

I know. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it with the goal of simply not finishing dead last.

How long can I power that toaster? Longer than you! (at least 25s...)

...Unless you are @Jaytron, or @carleton. Big track boys are big, and very powerful over short duration.
